Extreme Weather and Temperature-Sensitive Shipments

Prolonged exposure to extreme heat or freezing temperatures can affect the quality of sake and wine. We strongly recommend that customers consider weather conditions at the destination and along the anticipated shipping route before placing an order.

Customers are responsible for determining whether weather conditions are suitable for shipment at the time they place an order.

We offer Next Day and 2-Day shipping services for alcoholic beverages to help reduce the potential for weather-related damage. However, expedited shipping does not guarantee protection from extreme temperatures.

We generally do not ship alcoholic beverages on Fridays because carriers may hold shipments over the weekend, potentially exposing temperature-sensitive products such as sake and wine to unsuitable storage conditions.

Once an alcoholic beverage shipment has been tendered to the carrier, we are generally not responsible for temperature-related damage caused by transit conditions, delays, carrier handling, or storage, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If we have clear reason to believe that weather conditions are sufficiently severe to create a significant risk of damage to your alcoholic beverages, we reserve the right to delay shipment. If we do so, we will notify you promptly and work with you to determine an appropriate shipping alternative.

3. Non-Alcoholic Products

Non-Alcoholic Products

Non-alcoholic merchandise may be shipped throughout the United States where permitted by applicable law and subject to product and carrier restrictions.

We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, natural disasters, carrier disruptions, labor disputes, customs or governmental actions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Returns and Refunds

Returns, refunds, and exchanges are subject to the following provisions.

Alcoholic Beverages

Due to applicable laws and the nature of alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages generally cannot be returned once delivered.

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect alcoholic beverage product, please contact us promptly, preferably within 48 hours of delivery, so that we can review the matter and determine an appropriate resolution where permitted by law. Please provide photographs of the product, packaging, shipping box and any visible damage, if possible. Please retain the product, packaging and shipping materials until the matter has been reviewed.

Refused or Undeliverable Alcoholic Beverage Orders

If an alcoholic beverage order is returned to us because the customer refuses delivery, fails to accept delivery, fails to provide required proof of age, or provides an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, the customer may be responsible for return shipping charges, carrier fees, and reasonable handling or restocking costs.  Any refund will be issued less applicable charges.

Gift Orders and Recipient Information

For alcoholic beverage gift orders, the purchaser must provide the recipient’s accurate name, delivery address, telephone number, and email address. This information is required so that we and/or our delivery carrier can contact the recipient regarding shipment and delivery.

The recipient must be at least 21 years of age and must provide valid government-issued identification and an adult signature upon delivery. If the recipient’s contact information is missing or inaccurate, or if the recipient is unavailable or unable to complete the required age verification and signature, delivery may be delayed or the order may be returned to us.

If an order is returned due to the recipient’s failure to accept delivery, inability to complete the required age verification, or inaccurate or incomplete recipient information, the purchaser may be responsible for applicable return shipping, carrier, handling, and restocking costs.

Food Products

For health and safety reasons, food products generally cannot be returned once delivered.

If a food product arrives damaged, defective, spoiled, or is not the product ordered, please contact us promptly.

Kitchenware and Other Merchandise

Unused kitchenware, tableware, dining products, and other eligible merchandise may be returned within 14 days of delivery.
